Siege, a fully multiplayer tested Unreal Tournament Map. The map is set within a large castle filled multiple layers and navigable paths. The map is designed for FFA combat and primarily focuses on long range weapons, ie (Sniper Rifle and Link Gun). The level also has several Launch pads and Jump pads allowing for creative movement throughout the level and addicting first person combat. Along with weapon drops the map also contains ammo, health, and armor packs scattered throughout the map.
This project was made in the span of several weeks for a level design course. As a big fan of the first person shooter genre, I really wanted to emulate a sniper heavy map with lots of sightlines and interesting gunplay. The launchpads on both ends of the map allow for not only interesting movement options, but also epic “trickshots” as the players fly through the air. I started the project off by creating two top-down maps roughly showcasing my ideas for the map. Inside the game engine, I designed the map based off the maps and feedback received from playtesting. This was my first time working with multiplayer setting, however I learned a lot from my experience creating this level.
